Before we can forward ports for BYOND's pager, we need to figure out what ports BYOND's pager is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up Dream Seeker.
Click Options in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Preferences.
Click Pager tab at the top of this new window. You should now see the menu shown in the screenshot above. Enter a port number into the Pager Port box. It doesn't really matter what port you choose, but something between 10000 and 16000 would be a good idea. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.
Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.1.
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default both the username and password are admin. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.
Click the Advanced link near the top of the page.
The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.
Click the Add button near the bottom of the page.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. BYOND Dream Seeker requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Rule Managment menu and then click Apply.
You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Rule Managment page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.
Click the Tools button near the top of the page.
The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click System.
When you're finished, click Save and Reboot near the bottom of the screen to save your changes. And that's it! You're done!
