Before we can forward ports for lphant, we need to figure out what ports lphant is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up lphant.

Close to the top of the lphant window there should be a row of buttons. Click this Options button in this row.

You should see a TCP Port box and an UDP Port box. Enter a random port into each of these boxes. It doesn't matter what ports you choose, but a port numbers between 10000 and 60000 would be a good idea. A higher numbered port is generally the best to use, because most ISP's do not block the higher numbered ports.

Please enter the port you chose for the TCP box into the box below.

To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address. Take a look at our Static IP Address guide to setup a static ip address. When you are finished setting up a static ip address, please come back to this page and enter the ip address you setup in the Static IP Address box below.

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to http://10.0.0.1:53920/goform/HomePage.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is anything, and the password is blank. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the NAPT link near the left side of the page.

Click the List of Proxy link near the top of the page.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. lphant requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the List of Proxy menu and then click the top Add button.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers List of Proxy page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click the top Add button.

And that is it! You are done!
