Port Forwarding for the Advantek ABR241v2

What is Port Forwarding?
What is Port Triggering?

To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address. Take a look at our Static IP Address guide to setup a static ip address. When you are finished setting up a static ip address, please come back to this page and enter the ip address you setup in the Static IP Address box below.

Do not skip this step!

Please enter the static ip you want to forward to:

192.168.10.

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.10.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is 1234. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the NAT link near the top of the page.

Click the Port Mapping link near the left side of the page.

Enter the ip address to forward these ports to into the Server IP box. If you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on your computer, you should enter your computer's ip address into that box. Enter the ports to forward into the Mapping Ports box. These ports can be entered as a list 23,24,25, a range 500-600, or a combination of both 23,45,500-600. Use the Type drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding. Enter the name of the program into the Comment box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea. Put a checkmark in the Enabled checkbox.

When you're finished, click Ok near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!
