Firewalling for the CA Personal Firewall

Go ahead and open up CA Security Center.

Click the CA Personal Firewall link.

Click the Open Advanced Settings link.

Click the Firewall button near the left hand side of the page.

Click the Application Control tab.

Find the ATT Remote Monitor program you want to modify permissions for in the applications list. If you do not see ATT Remote Monitor you want to modify permissions for in this list, try running ATT Remote Monitor. You may be prompted to allow or deny traffic for ATT Remote Monitor, once you run it. After responding to that prompt, ATT Remote Monitor should appear in this list.

We are going to modify the Server Safe and Server Restricted settings for ATT Remote Monitor. Right click on the green check mark or the blue question mark in the Server Safe and Server Restricted column. You should see a drop down menu that presents you with three options. Select the Prevent option. Now both the Server Safe and the Server Restricted columns for ATT Remote Monitor should have a red minus in them. Once that is done click ATT Remote Monitor to highlight it. Then click the Edit link.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to setup CA Personal Firewall's firewall for ATT Remote Monitor. Go ahead and enter the settings shown below into the Add Rule menu.

  Rule Description:
    Enable rule
  Protocol: Direction:

  Remote Port: -
Click the Ok button on the Configure Application Rules page to finish the modifications for this program.
